A structural adhesive tailored for applications that prioritise speed and a better working environment. Its toughened, semi-rigid formulation forms tough, impact-resistant bonds to metals, composites and plastics with minimal surface preparation. With a working time of 2-3 minutes and handling strength reached in 4-6 minutes (at 20°C), it suits applications that need fast turn-around.

Composite assembly:
Fast composite-to-composite and composite-to-metal bonding where a quick build-up of strength supports throughput.

Repairs and field work:
Fast structural bonding where odour or exotherm matters, including enclosed spaces or work near people and animals. Structural applications under dynamic load: Any application that needs a fast, tough, structural bond and will see impact or movement.

How to use

Application Temperature:

Should be between +10°C and +35°C. Higher or lower temperatures can impact cure speed and adhesive performance.

Surface Preparation:

Clean substrates with IPA. Purok VX89 needs no further preparation on the metals tested. FRP, polycarbonate and PVC reach higher strengths when abraded with a 120 grit pad, then cleaned with IPA.

Application:

Purok VX89 is a two-component adhesive mixed 10:1 by volume. Follow the proper instructions before using it.

It combines a very fast cure with low odour. Handling strength arrives in 4-6 minutes, the formulation is impact toughened, and it carries no flammable labelling.

Low odour acrylics can leave a tacky surface because oxygen slows the cure at exposed edges (air inhibition). Reduce the area exposed to air where you can. If exposed edges can't be avoided, the tackiness usually fades over a short time.

No. Purok VX89 has no flammable labelling, which makes it simpler to handle and store than many structural adhesives. Part A (white and natural) is not classed as dangerous goods for transport. Part B carries a Class 9 environmental hazard classification (UN3082), but packs of 5 L or less are not subject to further ADR/IMDG/IATA provisions provided the packaging meets the general requirements. The White Part A SDS gives these hazard statements: "Causes skin irritation. (H315)", "May cause an allergic skin reaction. (H317)", "Causes serious eye damage. (H318)" and "May cause respiratory irritation. (H335)". Ensure good ventilation, use appropriate PPE, and refer to the full SDS.
