# Activators & Primers

Primers play a crucial role in the bonding process, enhancing the adhesive's interaction with the substrate. They create a new surface that improves wetting and chemical compatibility, ensuring a strong bond. While traditionally essential, advances in adhesive technologies have made primers less necessary in some cases. However, primers still offer significant benefits by preventing contamination and ensuring substrate compatibility, thereby guaranteeing strong, reliable bonds.
